This Apprenticeship Program is a government-initiated scheme available under the Apprenticeship Ordinance 1962 in several specialised areas including Chemical Plant Operator, Maintenance Technician, Auto Electrician, Electrical Technician, Instrument Technician, Mechanical Draftsman, and Laboratory Analyst.

All eligible applicants with either a DAE or Intermediate qualification and 55% or higher marks are welcome to apply. However, the maximum age limit of 25 years on or before April 30, 2023 is a must.

For those aspiring to be a Chemical Plant Operator, an FSc in Pre-Engineering or three-year DAE in Chemistry is required. For Maintenance Technician, applicants must have a three-year DAE in Mechanical, for Auto Technician, three-year DAE in Mechanical and for Electrical Technician, three-year DAE in Electrical. A three-year DAE in Electronics or Instrument is necessary for Instrument Technician and three-year DAE in Mechanical for Mechanical Draftsman. Finally, for Laboratory Analyst, an FSc in Pre-Engineering is preferred but those with a BSc in Chemistry will have an edge.
